Three people were injured when an ODOT truck and a minivan collided southwest of Mechanicsburg at the intersection of State Route 4 and State Route 54 Friday night around 7:30.
The Springfield Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that the truck was hanging off a concrete drainage barrier.
The ODOT driver was unconscious. He was removed by a bystander, then transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center.
A woman and an infant in the minivan were taken to Union County Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
Troopers continue their investigation.
There were numerous slide-offs and minor accidents across West Central Ohio Friday night and Saturday morning.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol responded to a pickup rollover crash on Township Road 179 near Township Road 181 Friday afternoon around 5:30.
Eyewitnesses report that the driver was not injured.
The slick roads led to snow emergencies in Logan, Champaign, and Hardin counties.
