A city man was arrested on a felony count after he broke into a west side residence Sunday morning around 3:30.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Anthony Johnson, 29, of 437 East Chillicothe Avenue, entered 316 Garfield Avenue.
Charles Roberts IV, 27, lives at the residence.
Kara Nolan, 26, of 212 West Williams Avenue, was visiting.
An altercation ensued and Roberts forced Johnson out of the residence.
Johnson, who suffered a cut hand, fled the area.
Roberts had scratches on his upper torso, arms, and right temple.
Johnson avoided authorities for several hours.
Officers saw him riding with Nolan in the 800 block of East Sandusky Avenue just before noon.
Police stopped her vehicle near the intersection of High Avenue and Park Road.
Johnson fled on foot. He was caught moments later in the 300 block of North Madriver Street, then taken to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment on his cut hand.
After Johnson was released, he was charged with aggravated burglary and served warrants for menacing by stalking, violating a protection order, obstruction of official business, failure to appear, and two counts of criminal damaging.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
