Two Benjamin Logan Middle School students recently had artwork accepted for the 2014 Ohio Art Education Association's Youth Art Month Exhibition.
Sixth-grader Anna Blake (pictured left) and eighth-grader Nolan Pelger (pictured right) had their artwork chosen.
The art exhibition by Ohio students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade is on display at the State Teacher's Retirement System (STRS) building (275 East Broad Street, Columbus) throughout March.
One hundred twenty-four pieces of artwork were selected for this juried show from the nine OAEA regions in the state of Ohio. The exhibition is sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association, which is the professional organization for art teachers across the state. Among its many professional endeavors, OAEA works to promote art education and recognizes quality student art through various exhibits sponsored during the year at both the state and regional levels. The Youth Art Month Exhibition comes about through many volunteer hours by art teachers in Ohio.
