City man sentenced on felonious assault charge

Michael SabaFive defendants were sentenced and three pleaded guilty before the Logan County Common Pleas Court earlier this week.

Michael Saba, 33, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to two years in prison and ordered to pay a $500 fine, restitution, and court costs for felonious assault.

In December, Saba was indicted for aggravated robbery (F1) and felonious assault (F2).

In January, he pleaded guilty to felonious assault.

Ryan Johnston, 27, of Rushsylvania, was sentenced to three years community control and ordered to pay a $500 fine, court costs, and attorney fees for possession of drugs.

Edward RuminerEdward Ruminer, 55, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to two years community control, 80 hours of community service, and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs, restitution, and attorney fees for receiving stolen property.

Melissa Keeton, 40, of Medway, was sentenced to 60 days in the Logan County Jail, two years community control, and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs, restitution, and attorney fees for theft.

Steven Angel, 38, was sentenced to two years community control and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs, and attorney fees for non-support of dependents.

Kyle Pool, 29, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to sexual battery.

Garrett Pickering, 21, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to two counts of violating a protection order and one count of breaking and entering.

Katie Hale, 28, of Lakeview, pleaded guilty to theft.

Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for March 24th.
