One of the indicators that winter is finally coming to an end in Logan County occurs this weekend. Indian Lake Marine, Bud’s Marine, and Spend-A-Day Marina will host the 58th annual Indian Lake Boat Show Friday, February 28th, Saturday, March 1st and Sunday, March 2nd.
It is an opportunity for enthusiasts from all over to get out and see what the latest that the industry has to offer.
Jim Reed, owner of Spend-A-Day Marina, is excited about the performance pontoon. He indicated that it combines the enjoyment of family boating while having enough power to pull skiers and tubers.
Lanny Weiner, sales associate at Bud’s Marine, picked up three new boat lines including Hurricane Deck Boats. He indicated that Hurricane is the top seller of this type of boat and believes customers will be drawn to its sleek design.
Jim Reed talks about the boat show.
Neither Reed nor Weiner were thrilled with the cold weather but were resigned to the fact that they have to deal with it. Reed has added an additional tent this year and could have close to 80 boats and jet skis on display. All viewing tents will be heated.
Weiner indicated that in addition to the displays, Bud’s Marine will again provide entertainment and free hot dogs. B.J. and Billie will entertain on Saturday. 4,000 hot dogs were given out last year.
Lanny Weiner talks about some new products.
The show will open all three days at 10:00 am and will close Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 6:00 pm. Admission and refreshments are free.
