BPD visits Heritage Court (Audio & Video included)

The Bellefontaine Police Department kicked off its summer outreach events Wednesday.

The department conducted a cook out event at Heritage Court Apartments. The event had hot dogs, bottled water, activities for kids, Safety Pup (pictured right), and K-9 Officer Arco.

Police Chief Brandon Standley commented that these events are held to get out into the community and meet with the neighborhoods. This is the second year Bellefontaine will be conducting its community outreach events.

Two more events are being planned for mid-June to early July. One will be at Deercreek Village Apartments and the other at a local park. Details will be passed on as they become available. The department will also be conducting its second annual multi-agency Community Safety Day at Southview Park on August 16th.

Chief Standley discusses the event and future events.

Volunteer Kathy Comer shares her thoughts on the event.

Heritage Court resident David Caudill expresses his thought on the evening.
