An area driver was killed in a three-vehicle crash on State Route 31 north of Marysville Friday morning around 5:35.
The Union County Sheriff's Office reports that Oscar Hamby, 60, of 323 Kuert Avenue, Kenton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was driving a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan southbound behind a vehicle operated by Sarah Jackson, 36, of County Road 209, Mt. Victory.
Kaleb Nebel, 19, of Wellwood Road, West Mansfield, was northbound on 31.
The three vehicles collided on 31 just north of State Route 347.
Jackson and Nebel suffered serious injuries. Both of them were transported to Union County Memorial Hospital in Marysville, then transferred to OSU Medical Center. They are listed in serious condition.
State Route 31 was closed for just over four hours.
The State Highway Patrol, Ohio Department of Transportation, Emergency Management Agency, Marysville Fire and EMS, Liberty Township Fire and EMS, Allen Township Fire and EMS, and Northern Union County Fire District assisted at the scene.
It's the third fatal accident in Union County this year.
Deputies continue their investigation.
