A driver and passenger were killed in a T-Bone crash at the intersection of County Road 43 and County Road 31 (between Bellefontaine and DeGraff) Friday night around 6:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Marco Acosta, 26, of 111 East Vine Street, LaRue, was driving a 2005 Hyundai Elantra northbound on 31 when he failed to stop at the stop sign.
His vehicle was struck on the passenger's side by a westbound 2006 GMC Envoy operated by Christina Woods, 31, of 110 North Mill Street, DeGraff.
Acosta and his passenger, Norman James Laferriere, 25, of 9527 County Road 26, West Mansfield, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Acosta was wearing his seat belt; Laferriere was not buckled up.
Woods was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Robinaugh EMS. She was treated and released.
Her passenger, Roger Woods, 28, of 110 North Mill Street, DeGraff, was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center. He is listed in fair condition.
Three other passengers in the SUV were not injured.
All five occupants in the Envoy were wearing their seat belt or were properly restrained in a child safety seat.
The DeGraff Fire Department, Riverside EMS, West Liberty Fire Department, Macochee Joint Ambulance District, and Bellefontaine Fire Department assisted at the scene.
There have been five fatalities in Logan County this year.
Deputies continue their investigation.
