A city driver and his passenger were arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Gunntown Road Sunday morning around 12:40.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Theodore Dickens, 44, of 501 Gunntown Road, Lot 89, was stopped for speeding and a marked lanes violation.
Dickens failed a field sobriety test and refused a breath test.
He was placed under arrest for OVI. Dickens then began to resist and attempted to fight back.
At that time, passenger Holly Miller, 42, of 501 Gunntown Road, Lot 89, disobeyed orders by police to stay in the vehicle. She became involved and also attempted to fight back.
She was taken into custody.
Other officers were called in for assistance.
Dickens was charged with OVI, resisting arrest, persistent disorderly conduct, and criminal damaging.
He was also cited for fictitious license plates and no operator's license.
Miller was charged with resisting arrest, persistent disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business.
They were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
