Updated: Man arrested for burglaries in four counties

Mark BallAn area man wanted for a rash of burglaries in Logan, Shelby, Auglaize, and Allen counties was arrested last Thursday.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office arrested Mark Ball, 51, of Lima.

Deputies from the four counties worked together over the last two weeks.

There were more than 20 burglaries in the region, including three in Logan County.

On July 4th, authorities responded to 11659 Township Road 88, Lakeview.

A week later, a burglary was reported at 13433 County Road 87, Lakeview.

Deputies investigated a burglary at 6681 County Road 21, Lewistown, on August 5th.

Detectives said Ball confessed to six burglaries in Shelby County.

Ball was lodged in the Allen County Correctional Center.

The case will likely be presented to a grand jury.

Authorities continue their investigation.
