Informational meeting on medical marijuana sheds light on what could come to Logan County (Audio & video included)

A meeting was held at the East Liberty Masonic Lodge Wednesday night involving trustees from Jefferson, Perry, and Zane Townships discussing medical marijuana.

With around 30 people attending, presentations were made by the Logan County Prosecutor's Office and the Logan-Union-Champaign Regional Planning Commission.

Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds also spoke about the possibility of medical marijuana coming to the area in the future.

Medical marijuana became legal in Ohio under House Bill 523 said Brad Bodenmiller, who shared on what the meeting was all about and where we are currently at in the process.

Sheriff Dodds talked about concerns he has if medical marijuana comes to Logan County.

Perry Township Zoning Chairman Melanie Baker explains how their committee will act.

 

 

 

Watch a Zane Township citizen voice his opinion on medical marijuana.

After the informational meeting the various township zoning commissions met for a time to discuss the information they received and to decide what to do in the near future.
