Bryce PatchA county man was arrested after he allegedly threatened his ex-girlfriend with a sledgehammer in Belle Center Monday night around 8:30.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Bryce Patch, 27, of Belle Center, saw his ex driving on Buckeye Street.

He then started following her through the village.

The 21-year-old victim attempted to elude Patch by turning on multiple streets.

She said Patch tried to pass her vehicle several times.

He eventually got in front of her, then stopped and removed a sledgehammer from his truck.

Patch walked towards her vehicle with the sledgehammer.

The victim backed up and fled.

The woman drove to the sheriff's office to report the incident.

He denied grabbing a sledgehammer.

Patch was charged with aggravated menacing and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Deputies found the sledgehammer on the passenger's side of Patch's vehicle.

The woman told deputies that Patch is under investigation for an alleged aggravated vehicular assault against her.
