Four local residents were injured in a car-Amish buggy accident on State Route 31 in northern Union County near Byhalia Wednesday morning around 7:55.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Jonas Miller, 27, of 14466 Township Road 179, Kenton, was operating a buggy southbound on 31 when his vehicle was rear-ended by a '99 Honda Civic driven by William David Price, 22, of 20553 County Road 265, Ridgeway.
Price, Miller, and two passengers in the buggy, Levi Hershberger, 32, of 14487 Township Road 179, Kenton, and John Hershberger, 26, of 17499 Township Road 265, Kenton, were transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton for non-life threatening injuries.
Price was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance and no seat belt.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage.
Miller's horse was injured and treated by a local veterinarian.
