A Lakeview man was lodged in the Logan County Jail Sunday after he reportedly assaulted a woman at his residence.
Timothy G. Gillispie (pictured left), 47, of 11671 Viola, Lakeview, was taken into custody at 4:40 a.m. Sunday after deputies were called to his address twice following reports of an assault.
The complainant was a 48-year-old woman, who first called deputies at 2:33 a.m. Sunday, reporting that Gillispie had struck her and threw a number of items about the home. Gillispie fled the residence prior to the deputies' arrival, and was not located after a search of the area.
The victim called back, however, at 4:40 a.m., reporting that Gillispie had returned and again assaulted her after learning that she notified deputies of the prior incident. Gillispie reportedly bolted out the rear of the residence just as deputies and officers from Washington Township and Russells Point arrived. This time, Gillispie was located after a brief search and was arrested and charged with assault, failure to comply with a lawful order, and public intoxication.
The victim reportedly had visible injuries, but was not transported for treatment.
