Domestic dispute leads to arrest

Logan County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a dispute near Rushsylvania Wednesday around 3:00 p.m.

Alice Thompson, 32, of 5283 County Road 20, and her boyfriend, Richard Parker (pictured), 24, at large, were reportedly arguing over a vehicle.

A family member told authorities that Thompson owned the vehicle, but Parker had the keys and refused to hand them over to Thompson.

Parker remarked if he went to jail, he would come back and get the car when he was released. He also threatened to slash the vehicle’s tires.

Parker admitted to deputies the car belonged to Thompson, but refused numerous requests to return the keys.

He was then arrested for theft and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Deputies located the keys during a search of Parker after he was in custody.
