A city teen was charged after he was caught stealing candy at Community Markets, 309 North Main Street, Thursday evening around six o'clock.
Christopher Huffman, 14, of 109 West Williams Avenue, allegedly took Hershey's chocolate and two bags of Skittles.
The store manager saw Huffman put the bags in his shorts. She confronted him when he attempted to exit the store.
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded and charged Huffman with theft.
The boy was released to his father.
