Two area women were arrested after they tried to steal multiple 
items while shopping at Walmart, 2281 South Main Street, Bellefontaine, Thursday night around seven o'clock.
Ashley Post (pictured left), 19, of 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. E9, Bellefontaine, and Hannah Shoots (pictured right), 20, of 454 Ohio Street, Kenton, reportedly placed makeup and health and beauty products in their respective purses.
Store personnel witnessed the incident.
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded and charged the women with a misdemeanor count of theft.
Post and Shoots were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Officers did not list a combined value of the stolen items.
