Local men caught smoking marijuana in the city

Two local men were issued drug-related summons in the city Wednesday afternoon just before six o'clock.

While on patrol, the Bellefontaine Police Department found Randy Henry, 49, of 120 Market Street, Lakeview, and Roderick Williamson, 30, of 424 North Main Street, Apt. C, Bellefontaine, standing in an alley near 140 North Stanley Street (near the Logan County Historical Society).

The officers stopped after smelling burnt marijuana.

Henry and Williamson admitted to smoking the drug moments before police arrived.

Both men were standing near a Chevy S-10 pickup.

Henry told officers that a small amount of marijuana was in the vehicle's glove box.

K-9 Benno discovered a baggie of marijuana on the floor of the pickup.

Henry was charged with possession of drugs and illegal use of paraphernalia.

Williamson was charged with possession of drugs.

Two women standing near Henry and Williamson were cleared of any charges.
