Live history re-enactments provide "edutainment" (Audio & video included)

The Ohio Chautauqua Tour is in Champaign County this week, providing live entertainment and workshops that performers and organizers call “edutainment.” “Edutainment” has been the buzzword for the tour since its performers and scholars educate and entertain audiences.

The Ohio Humanities Council selected Urbana as one of its stops for the 14th annual Ohio Chautauqua Tour for the first time ever this summer. The tour kicked off in Marietta and will continue in Burton, Gallipolis and Warren after this week. This year’s theme is “When Ohio was the Western Frontier.”
