A Kentucky man is facing felony drug charges after a traffic stop in Shelby County Friday morning around 6:45.
The State Highway Patrol seized 20 pounds of marijuana valued at more than $45,000.
Troopers pulled over Lance Corde, 30, of Maysville, Kentucky, driving a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe for a speed violation and following too closely on I-75.
Criminal indicators were observed and a drug-sniffing dog alerted to the vehicle.
A search revealed the marijuana.
Corde was charged with possession of marijuana (F3) and possession of criminal tools (F5).
Corde could face up to six years in prison and a $12,500 fine if convicted.
