The Champaign County EMA reports that three cooling stations are available to residents without power and air conditioning. The locations will have water available.
The cooling stations are:
Champaign County Red Cross Chapter – 658 Bodey Cir, Urbana
JSP Fire District – 403 W. Main St., St. Paris
Mechanicsburg Fire Department – 18 N. Main St., Mechanicsburg
All locations will be open from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday, July 2nd.
Approximately 900 residents are without power in Champaign County from DP&L and Pioneer Rural Electric.
