A city man was arrested after an argument at his estranged girlfriend’s residence Sunday night around seven o'clock.
Chanc Carter (pictured), 23, at large, asked Alisha Smith, 22, of 809 Heritage Court, Apt. 9, for some of his clothes.
When she declined, he became enraged and reportedly ripped a door of its three hinges.
Carter fled before the Bellefontaine Police Department responded.
Moments later, he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 100 block of East High Avenue.
Carter was charged with criminal damaging, then lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Authorities responded to another incident at the apartment earlier in the day.
Police are considering a felony domestic violence charge against Carter.
