A local teen driver was cited after she struck a utility pole in a downtown store parking lot Tuesday afternoon just before six o'clock.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Bridget Eagy, 17, of 3070 State Route 292, East Liberty, was driving a 2003 Honda Element westbound in the Community Markets parking lot (309 North Main Street) when she attempted to make a left turn into an alley and struck a utility pole.
Passenger Dina Dailey, 32, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot A1, Zanesfield, suffered minor injuries.
She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
Eagy had possible injuries, but she was not transported.
Eagy was cited for failure to control.
Both women were wearing their seat belts.
The vehicle had minor damage.
