A local man was arrested after he assaulted his cousin at Old Field Beach, 11252 State Route 235 North, Lakeview, Tuesday afternoon around three o'clock.
John Morrissey II (pictured), 42, of 7204 Township Road 154, Kenton, allegedly punched Crystal Marquis, 36, of 7452 Foster Street, Russells Point, in the nose and held her head under water.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded and found Morrissey in a bathroom stall.
He admitted to slamming his cousin's head in the water, but denied punching her.
After talking with several witnesses, Morrissey was charged with assault and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Marquis did not require medical attention.
