Competitors young and old scrambled in the mud Thursday evening trying to snatch a swine at the Logan County Fair’s 2012 pig scramble.
A “kids’ scramble” kicked off the evening at the grandstand. Different age groups ran to be the first to tag their pig (competitor #42 pictured left).
Due to the low numbers of participants this year, the Fair Board was unable to hold the usual pig and calf scramble. Instead, both boy and girl contestants competed in one pig scramble. To fill the usual calf scramble time slot, fair board members (pictured right) got down and dirty and participated in their own pig scramble.
