The Division 3 Flower Show took place at the Logan County Fair on Friday, wrapping up the flower judging for the week.
Marian Moeckel of Troy and Jo Ann Graham of Mount Vernon judged the show. Both are accredited judges and members of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs.
Listen to Judge Jo Ann Graham talk about what she looks for when judging flowers.
Barbara South excelled at the flower show by taking home Queen of Roses and Grand Champion Day Lillies. She also won Sweepstakes, which is decided by counting the number of ribbons each participant won and giving points for each color ribbon. To win Sweepstakes, one must collect more top place ribbons than other competitors.
Judy Bozman had a strong showing as well, by taking home Princess of Roses and Grand Champion Artistic. Sue Chanay won Grand Champion Cut Specimen.
In the junior division, Abigail Luellman placed first in Junior Horticulture and Alaina Snow snagged the win for Junior Artistic.
