The 2012 Logan County Fair concluded with the tractor pull competition. Many spectators came out for the event, the bleachers at the Grand Stand were filled and many brought their own lawn chairs and even couches out to the event to watch.
Spectators did not want to miss this event. Rick Staton of Bellefontaine said that his family got to the tractor pull an hour early so that they could be sure to have the best seats in the house.

People from all over the state compete in this event. Someone drives a vechicle that pulls a system that weights down the vehicle. The goal is to at least complete a "full pull" of 300 feet but many vehicles can make it past that mark. Some do not make the mark but this does not disqualify the vehicle in any way.
There were four different classes in the Ohio State Tractor Pullers Association Sanctioned Event. The classes were: Super Stock, Super Modified, Super Farm, and Pro Stock Semi.
Shane Canterbury of Vermillion, took home 1st in the Pro Stock Semi event. He is the driver of the Big Mack Attack which is sponsored by Absolute Machine Tools, Inc. of Lorain. When interviewed, Canterbury talked about how many hours he has put into tractor pull events this weekend alone. Just tonight, an axle on his vehicle broke that he had to replace before the event.
