A Lima woman was arrested on multiple felony charges Monday night after she allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old Russells Point boy earlier this summer.
Kayla Newland (pictured left), 22, was involved with the boy at least three times before the victim's sibling contacted the Russells Point Police Department on July 8th.
A week later, the sibling started receiving threatening text messages from Newland and Newland's boyfriend, Jacob Langenkamp (pictured right), 18, of Lima.
Officers monitored text messages, which included threats involving a .45 caliber handgun and threats to beat the sibling into a coma.
The Russells Point Police Department contacted the Lima Police Department to locate Newland and Langenkamp.
Officers found the suspects Monday night around seven o'clock.
Newland was charged with unlawful sexual contact with a minor and intimidation of a witness.
Langenkamp was charged with a felony count of intimidation of a witness.
They were lodged in the Logan County Jail late Monday.
The charges against Langenkamp were dismissed.
Newland previously stayed with the victim's sister for a short time.
