A city woman was charged after she was caught shoplifting at Walmart, 2281 South Main Street, Wednesday afternoon around 3:30.
Kayla Ferrara, 20, of 500 Gunntown Road, Apt. F10, reportedly placed Press on Nails and lip balm in her purse.
A loss prevention officer stopped Ferrara after she attempted to leave without paying for the items.
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded and Ferrara was issued a summons for theft.
The stolen items had a combined value of $34.74.
