The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports a two-vehicle wreck that resulted in injuries on State Route 235 near 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon.
The Patrol says Roberta J. Welch, 41, of Lewistown, was traveling northeast on SR 235 in a Honda Pilot, when she was struck by a Hyundai Accent driven by Jerry Boling, 67, of Dayton. Boling was driving southwest bound on SR 235 when he went left of center and struck Welch’s vehicle.
Welch’s Pilot traveled down an embankment before it came to rest.
Along with the State Highway Patrol, Miami Township EMS responded to the scene of the crash. Welch was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.
An investigation showed drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
Boling was cited for going left of center.
There is no further word on Welch’s condition.
