The Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce announced its Chamber Business/Entrepreneur for the month of August.
Wishwell Farms Produce has been recognized this month by the Chamber for its service to the Logan County area. The business has been open for 12 years and raises 75 acres of fruit and vegtables.
Jason Wish grew up on Wishwell Farms, a grain and dairy operation that started four generations ago. The farm is currently managed and operated by Jim and Susan Wish. Jason graduated from Ohio State University in 1998 with a degree in animal dairy science. His plan was to one day operate the dairy farm.
While working on the dairy farm, Jason started selling produce part time. He began to become more interested in produce production. The stand he and his wife, Kristen, ran together out of their garage, started to grow.
Wishwell Farms Produce is one of the fastest growing produce farms in the area. Along with the produce farm, Jason’s business also includes four greenhouses with over 10,000 square feet.
The produce is sold through the family’s farm market located at 3381 N. U.S. Route 68. There is also a second retail location in Marysville. Wishwell produce is available to buy at 14 farmers’ markets in five counties and multiple restaurants in the greater Columbus area as well.
