The Bellefontaine Police Department reports a two-vehicle accident occurred on the U.S. 33 off-ramp near Junction 68 Monday around 10 a.m.
Amy Downing, 34, of 5785 County Road 21 Lewistown, came to a stop at a stop sign on the U.S. 33 eastbound off-ramp near Junction 68. Downing was driving a 2007 Honda Accord.
Mary Ramge, 52, of 8249 CR 167 Kenton, pulled up behind Downing in a 2007 Toyota Camry. When Downing eased forward, Ramge had thought the Accord had pulled away from the stop sign completely. Ramge then pulled forward and rear-ended Downing.
The Honda Accord received moderate damage, while Ramge’s Toyota Camry had no damage.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
Ramge was cited with failure to keep assured clear distance.
