A city man was arrested after he allegedly struck his live-in girlfriend multiple times Tuesday morning just after midnight.
Joshua Welch (pictured), 38, of 433 North Elm Street, stopped to retrieve some of his belongings.
Moments later an argument ensued with Tiffany Epps, 39.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Welch headbutted Epps. She then slapped him and Welch struck Epps in the jaw, which knocked her to the ground.
Welch was charged with domestic violence and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Epps did not require medical attention.
Welch and Epps have a child together.
No reason was given for the dispute.
