Hilliker YMCA provides programs for all ages (Audio included)

The Hilliker YMCA is putting Christian principles into practice through programs that develop healthy spirit, mind, and body to serve Logan County.

The Hilliker Y provides three different categories of programs to serve the community.

Youth development programs include before and after school programs, day camps, youth sports, and pre-school programs. There is still room in the before and after school programs. Enrolled kids can be dropped off before school around 6 am and the kids are dropped off at school. The after school program picks up kids from Bellefontaine elementary and Benjamin Logan at 3:30 and runs to 6 pm. A co-ed flag football league is registering until September 15th for first through fifth-graders. Practices will begin on September 19th. Open enrollment is currently underway for pre-school programs for infants, toddlers, and young children.

Healthy living programs cover 58 adult fitness classes including yoga, indoor cycling, and Zumba. The Y even offers a wellness center with over 30 cardio pieces, 20 strength machines, and free weights. Over 500 silver sneaker memberships take part in 14 classes including an indoor walking track.

Social Responsibility programs encompass food drives, Healthy Kids Day, outreach programs with Heartland of Bellefontaine and Luther Manor, and the Safe Haven program. The Safe Haven program registration for middle school kids will be held at Bellefontaine Middle School in mid-September.
