Local man sentenced in meth lab case

Three defendants were sentenced and two pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O'Connor earlier this week.

Robby Barnett, 52, of Russells Point, was sentenced to five years in prison for illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs and possession of drugs.

Jack Rufus, 43, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to twelve months in prison for domestic violence.

Corey Drake (pictured), 23, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility, five years community control, and ordered to pay court costs for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

In November, the Bellefontaine Police Department charged Drake with one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

He was reportedly involved with a 15-year-old Bellefontaine girl last summer.

In February, Drake was indicted for two counts of unlawful sex with a minor (F4).

Lomegail Davis, 36, of Russells Point, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs.

Matthew Haley, 27, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs.

Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for September 10th.
