Services set for fallen soldier

A motorcade honoring a fallen soldier will make its way through Bellefontaine this afternoon.

SPC Joshua Lewis Reed, 22, of Bellefontaine, passed away last Saturday at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

Reed was an ammunition specialist with the Battalion 14th Field Artillery.

He was awarded the Army Certificate of Achievement and the Army Achievement Medal.

Reed graduated from Benjamin Logan in 2009.

His parents are Lloyd and Tonja Reed.

The procession is expected to arrive in Bellefontaine around 2:45. The procession will go from Routes 68 and 33 and head southbound on Main Street.

Funeral services are being handled by the Jennings Farley Funeral Home on Route 68 near West Liberty.

Visitation is Monday from 5-8 p.m. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at eleven o’clock.
