A Bellefontaine man was cited following an alcohol-related accident northeast of the city Wednesday night around 10:40.
Eric Houchin (pictured), 23, of 1328 Turner Road, crashed on County Road 57 about four-tenths of a mile west of County Road 9.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Houchin was driving a '92 Acura Legend westbound on 57 when he went off the right side of the road and struck two trees.
Houchin left the scene.
Deputies along with the Bellefontaine Police Department found Houchin at a nearby friend's home on Dushane Drive Thursday morning just after midnight.
After he refused to take a breath test, Houchin was charged with OVI, open container, and failure to control.
Authorities said Houchin had multiple cuts on his face, neck, hands, and knees. He was not transported.
The vehicle suffered heavy damage.
