A local driver was charged following an alcohol-related accident on County Road 54 near Lakeview Sunday night around eleven o'clock.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Keith Brantley, 26, of 12058 State Route 720, Lakeview, was driving a 2006 Nissan 350Z northbound on 54 (about three-tenths of a mile north of County Road 52) when he went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, then went off the left side of the road and a hit a tree.
Brantley, who left the scene and walked home, told deputies he was driving 70 mph.
He was cited for OVI, speed, and failure to control.
Brantley had possible injuries, but he was not transported.
Brantley was wearing his seat belt.
His car suffered heavy damage.
