A joint meeting between the Bellefontaine Rotary Club and the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club featured an in-depth presentation on the locally-produced 2013 Honda Accord Monday afternoon.
Mike Fischer (pictured), who's the 2013 Accord Project Leader, was the guest speaker.
Fischer detailed the design and production of the ninth-generation Accord.
The new vehicle was displayed in the Friendly Senior Center parking lot.
The Accord was the first vehicle produced at the Marysville Auto Plant in 1982.
The plant employs 4,400 associates.
The Accord has roots that go beyond Marysville.
The engines are manufactured at the Anna Engine Plant and the transmissions are produced at Honda Transmission in Russells Point.
The 2013 Accords (pictured) go on sale nationwide next month.
Honda has not announced the pricing.
Honda also has facilities in East Liberty, Raymond, and Troy.
