Week 3 in Friday Night Football is going to stretch into Saturday due to thunderstorms moving though much of western Ohio mid-to-pregame, depending on your location.
The rundown of what we have so far:
The only final reported saw West Liberty-Salem roll over Riverside 48-0. The game was actually called due to weather with three minutes remaining in the first half, and school officials decided to declare it a final. The Tigers are 3-0 while the Pirates are 0-3.
The feature game on 98.3 WPKO made it all the way to halftime, with Urbana and Springfield Shawnee trading punches before heading to the locker room tied at 20. The delay and subsequent postponement came during halftime. They will play the second half Saturday night at 7:00 on 98.3 WPKO.
On 1390 WBLL, Bellefontaine and Dayton Carroll had an initial delay followed by a kickoff that went out of bounds. After the kickoff, lightning caused a second delay. About 20 minutes later the game was canceled. The game will not be rescheduled; it's considered a no contest. The Chiefs (0-2) will host Benjamin Logan next Friday on WBLL.
