A Russells Point man was arrested after he allegedly injured a police officer responding to a neighborhood dispute on Maple Street Sunday night around 6:10.
Ryan Crabtree (pictured), 23, of Warren Avenue, was reportedly intoxicated and yelling at children for setting off fireworks.
The Russells Point Police Department responded to a 911 hang up and found Crabtree yelling at a woman.
Officers ordered Crabtree to back away several times before approaching him.
As police attempted to move Crabtree away, he stepped back and tried to punch one of the officers.
Authorities took Crabtree to the ground and deployed a Taser.
He eventually complied and was taken into custody.
During the struggle, Sergeant Chad Fenwick sustained an injury to his left foot. He was evaluated at Mary Rutan Hospital as a precaution.
Crabtree was charged with assault and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
The Washington Township Police Department and Indian Lake EMS assisted at the scene.
