The man wanted for a recent hit-skip accident south of Bellefontaine was arrested at his city residence Tuesday afternoon around 12:40.
Mateo Rosales (pictured), 30, of 217 North Madriver Street, was charged with a probation violation.
The arrest was made by the Logan County Joint Drug Task Force and the Adult Parole Authority.
He is a suspect from Monday afternoon's crash on Route 68 near Township Road 199.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2005 Dodge Stratus allegedly driven by Rosales struck a utility pole around 2:30.
He fled on foot northbound, then headed eastbound on 199 into a field.
A State Patrol airplane searched the area, but Rosales eluded authorities.
The vehicle was reported stolen in Marysville on Monday.
Rosales was lodged in the Tri-County Jail in Mechanicsburg.
Charges from the State Highway Patrol and the Marysville Police Department are pending.
