A local teen driver escaped serious injury after being ejected in a rollover crash (pictured) on Sloan Boulevard just south of State Route 540 Sunday afternoon around two o'clock.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Cody Tevis, 17, of 1000 Garfield Avenue, Lot 66, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2002 Ford Mustang northbound on Sloan when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and rolled several times before coming to rest on its top.
Tevis suffered minor injuries, but was not transported.
Tevis told officers that he swerved to miss a deer.
He was cited for failure to control.
The Mustang was heavily damaged.
Bellefontaine Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
