The Logan County Health District conducted their monthly meeting Wednesday afternoon. A short agenda was handled routinely.
The board approved environmental health director Craig Kauffman’s recommendations on how to handle four nuisances. Property owners were ordered to dispose of solid waste and trash in three of the cases. The fourth needed to repair a sewer system within 30 days.
Seven service contracts were renewed. The Council on Rural Services rate for nursing visits for maternal and infant assessment remains at $100.00. Cynthia Pulfer received a 2% increase for her PRN nursing services. Marcella Burroughs got a $3 increase per cleaning for janitorial services. Northwest Therapy Service, Inc. will now get $73 per hour for the physical therapy they provide to patients.
MidOhio Rehabilitation Specialists will also get $73 per hour per hour for their occupational therapy services. Beach Speech Pathology will charge the same $90 per visit as last year. Sen & Associates will charge the same rates as last year for their certified public accounting services.
IT Project Manager Steve Cummings evaluation was an opportunity to thank him for the rapidity in which computer problems are handled on site.

Dr. Hoddinott discusses the renovation project
Health commissioner Dr. Boyd Hoddinott discussed the completion of the remodeling project. Patient privacy was addressed with the project. The transition to the new areas went smoothly.
Finally, Kay Schroer, director of nursing, provided information about the upcoming drive thru flu shot clinic. The clinic will be at the Bellefontaine Regional Airport on October 13th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The shots are available for those 19 and up. Patients must be healthy at the time of the shot and have proof of insurance. The shot costs $25, the mist $30 and the high dose $45.
