The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a pair of alcohol-related non-injury accidents over the weekend.
A deputy on patrol witnessed a two-vehicle wreck in Lakeview at the intersection of State Route 235 and State Route 720 Saturday morning around 2:20.
Travis Hower, 20, of 3978 County Road 21, DeGraff, was driving an '85 Chevy Blazer southbound on 235 when he made a sudden stop and was rear-ended by a '93 Honda Civic operated by Brandon Dilts, 18, of 6490 County Road 112, Rushsylvania.
Hower was charged with OVI, underage consumption, and stopping on the roadway.
His blood alcohol level was .149.
Dilts was charged with OVI, underage consumption, driving under suspension, and failure to maintain assured clear distance.
His blood alcohol level was .107.
A passenger in Dilts' vehicle, Landon Schmelzer, 20, of 736 State Route 508, West Liberty, was cited for underage consumption.
The Civic suffered heavy damage and the Blazer was not damaged.
Deputies responded to a two-vehicle wreck south of Bellefontaine on County Road 1 just north of Township Road 190 Sunday night around 10:10.
Melissa Ewing, 40, of 4293 County Road 171, West Liberty, was driving a 2001 Buick Century southbound on 1 when she came over a hill and rear-ended a 2005 Chrysler 300 driven by Rebecca Cardenas, 23, of Union City.
Authorities report that Cardenas stopped in the roadway, causing the crash.
She was cited for OVI, driving under suspension, and parking in the roadway.
Her blood alcohol level was .184.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
