An agreement that has highlighted West Liberty Council meetings for months was passed Monday.
Council approved the Town Hall Renovation agreement with the West Liberty Historical Society to allow the organization to begin work on town hall. The renovations include installing heating and cooling ventilation and refurbishing the second-story opera house. The project will move some of the fire department’s grass trucks to a building next to town hall. The renovations are expected to be complete by 2017 for West Liberty's Bicentennial.
