A local driver suffered possible injuries in a one-vehicle crash southeast of Bellefontaine in the 1000 block of Township Road 185 (Brennan Road) Wednesday morning around 3:20.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Christina Purtee, 27, of 7926 Township Road 43, DeGraff, was driving a 2004 Mazda westbound on 185 when she fell asleep, then went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Her vehicle came to rest in a water-filled ditch.
Purtee, who was wearing her seat belt, refused transport.
She was not cited and her car suffered heavy damage.
Tri-Valley Fire and EMS and Bellefontaine Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
