Bellefontaine resident and community leader Kim Wagner (pictured) passed away Wednesday afternoon at his residence.
Wagner, known as Wags to many, was 59.
He died after a six-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Last week, Mr. Wagner received the Richard J. Rupp Leadership Award at the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce annual meeting at Chattan Loch.
The award is presented to a person that demonstrates great leadership and vision.
Wagner was the longtime owner of Progressive Specialties on East Columbus Avenue in Bellefontaine.
He served on several boards in our community, including many years on the chamber board.
Wags graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Tara, and many relatives and friends.
The Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine is handling the service. Arrangements are pending.
