A Columbus area woman was killed in a T-Bone crash east of Urbana at the intersection of Route 36 and Ludlow Road Wednesday morning around 9:30.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Stephanie White, 37, of Galloway, was driving a 2005 Pontiac Vibe northbound on Ludlow when she failed to stop at a posted stop sign. Her vehicle was struck on the driver's side by an eastbound 2006 Peterbilt semi operated by Robert Zoeller, 57, of New Albany, Indiana.
The Vibe went off the south side of 36 and struck a phone junction box.
The semi traveled off the north side of Route 36 and hit a utility pole and a forklift.
White was transported by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital where she passed away Wednesday afternoon around four o'clock.
Two children, ages 6 and 7, riding with White suffered minor injuries. They were transported to Mercy Hospital in Urbana by Mechanicsburg EMS.
Zoeller was not injured.
It's the fifth fatal accident in Champaign County this year.
The crash remains under investigation.
