A Columbus man was arrested on multiple charges after he fled during a traffic stop in the city Thursday afternoon around 12:10.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol stopped Marcus Tabler (pictured), 29, in the 200 block of East Patterson Avenue.

Tabler, who was wanted on a warrant, fled on foot towards the downtown area.

Four officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department and their K-9 unit assisted with the foot pursuit.

Tabler ran through a homeowner's yard at 221 East Chillicothe Avenue.

Moments later, he was taken into custody behind the Logan County Historical Society, 521 East Columbus Avenue.

The pursuit lasted seven minutes.

Tabler was charged with a probation violation and three counts of obstructing official business.

The vehicle was impounded.

The State Highway Patrol continues their investigation.
